snot

Let’s talk a moment about snot, shall we? No? Okay. Just suffice to say that I have now officially gone through three tissues on one blowing of the nose.

I mean, come on. Everybody’s sick here – I mean everybody – at work, home etc. Everybody.

I am so sick (snigger) of it.

HM

What I want most in the whole world right now: a TV. In my bathroom. With Battlestar Galactica playing. With me inside the tub. With candles. And a LOT OF HOT WATER.

I have the sniffles. (sniffle)

So…hey

I am here. Although it probably doesn’t seem like it. Work has been tremendously busy, I’m travelling over 80 hours a month to work and back, catz need attention and husband deserves it. Having some really personal personal issues as well, so the last couple weeks I’ve felt like I’m barely keeping my head above water. Just barely. On the only plus side, book is going like wildfire. 27 pages and counting. I reckon I’m almost 1/2 done. If any of you fancy being a guest editor at the Ganesha’s Girl Manuscript Rollout (sometime hopefully end of March), let me know. Heads up though: it’s a fantasy, has a (totally rockin’) girl as the protagonist, and includes Greek and Hopi/Navajo indian myth. So I’m warnin’ ya.I think I might be getting myself back together after the last month, so I’ll be better here. Hopefully.

BWA HAAA HAAAA

“Why do you read that crap, anyway?”

“Use your brain for something other than that.”

“Dragon books….always dragon book?”

The above quotations were from my hubs.

BEFORE I BROUGHT HIM OVER TO THE DARK SIDE!!!!!

Yes, that’s right. He’s been sick since Thursday, and he voluntarily asked for the first of the Harry Potter series to read, “just to see what all the fuss was about”.

So of course, being the good little JK Rowling minion that I am, I meekly supplied him with the first book. That one took him awhile, but NOW:

He’s on book NUMBER THREE!!

BW HAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

And I’m not gonna gloat. I’m not. Really. Maybe just a little. What the heck, a little dance too. Including shaking the butt and whipping the arms around above my head.

I asked him, what do you think now of it? And he blushed.

HA HA HA Harry Potter STRIKES again!

WHEEE!!!

I know what you’re thinking.

And I can follow it 100% – where is this girl? What is she doing? Why do I keep coming back here when there are no updates?

I don’t have much explanation. I made a lot of goals, and mysteriously, I only have one goal for this blog: at least 1 entry a week.

I find all my creativity is being sucked into my book (which goes just swimmingly btw) and work (believe it or not) so I have a problem churning something out here.

Plus I feel guilty that right now, not too much exciting stuff is happening ’round here. I’m playing the flute, trying to get me and hubs out of every weekend sickness (it’s his turn this week and next thank the cow) and writing every day on DoA.

So if you can bear with me, I have a goal of getting my little baby book (first draft) finished insix months. I am getting a MAC BOOK in March from a wonderful pal in the US, but until then, I’m writing this baby out the old-fashioned way: hand.

My outfit: 1 red book that has the storyline, layout, research, ideas, etc etc etc (plus a query letter I did this morning because I had the idea) that is the bible for me. I hav a second spiral-bound notebook (160 pages) also RED (I am digging red) that I turn to it’s side and write in like a newspaper journalist. I have a special pen (I’ve purchased another one when this one goes empty) and this is my gear set.

If you knew me in RL, you’d know I was a pretty relaxed person, but for some reason this book has brought out all my anal-retentive qualities. Here I sit, since I got home (5.30) have been researching Amazon women for a part of the book. Enthralling stuff! And my hand simply doesn’t go fast enough when I’m writing. I#m really looking forward to my new MAC BOOK (white, like a good guy) and it’s darling little Monster cover -

  • (in blue naturally like the Cookie Monster) and I am gonna loooove it and squuuueeeeze it and call it Jemmy. Or something.

It’s odd that the only thing I can stick to with any sort of commitment is writing books. But oh well, guess that’s just me. I have 36 goals – 36 !!! – and I’m gonna make them.

Then I’m gonna get this baby published and dance with hubs. That is my biggest goal evah.

If I post my goals, will you post yours??

    Happy New Year!

We just spent a great New Year in Berlin, which was just fab!

Also we are almost all better, no unhealthiness happening here! (Except for some McDonalds today but hey it’s one day a year sooooo.)

The book goes excellently well, and I am working on a yearly goal list that I want to at least partially publish here on my blog so’s I can make myself accountable here too. It’s most important to do this list though so I am working on it during my last week of holiday! (SOB I want MORE holiday!)

I got a flute for Christmas from my most excellent father-and mum-in-law (from hubs suggestion, he IS such a wise guy!) and have been playing it every day almost, getting back into the spirit. Little known fact: Ganesha’s girl had a full scholarship in music (bassoon/Oboe/Flute) and art but gave it up to get a degree where I could get a job. Now I kind of regret it but at least I can get back into music, which just rocks rocks rocks! I am getting an instructor too! Excitement!

Okay, is this enough exclamation points for one post! I think so! Time to go, but happy new years!! More latah!

    Happy Hols!

Happy Holidays, everybody! Whatever holidays you celebrate! XOXO – GG, the hubs, Black Cat and Blue Cat.

    Sometimes, it’s a beeyatch

    I am sick.

     AGAIN.

I don’t know why, I don’t know how. I eat all my vegetables, fruits and everything, make sure to take vitamins, etc., and still get sick like a frickin’ dog.MAN!

My current theory is to blame it on da hubs. ;) Well, he always travels by train amongst the hoi polloi and well, I am sure that they are giving these viruses to him. Honestly, we’ve not had one fricking weekend lately where one of us wasn’t sick. I mean, you’d think we were invalids, not YOUNG PEOPLE!

And I seem to have some sort of burning sensation in my lungs. I know, it’s not great, but so far I can walk with it and thus STILL I am going to Leipzig tomorrow. I have been looking forward to it for quite some time, and so I’m gonna go. Disapproval or not. I worked today, so I deserve it. I’m not letting bronchitis/pneumonia get ME down, oh no sir.

On a not-so-related note, outside my house I have this. The perfect frost.

    It’s so gorgeous.

And for the love of all that’s holy – can ANYBODY explain to me why WORDPRESS won’t allow my Mac to be in visual mode and have everything come out with breaks? I am having to go into the code bit and manually edit it. P*sses me off.

    Happy day!!!

    Oh, w00t!

THREE more days to work this year! That has such a lovely ring to it!

I have a day off tomorrow, TWO parties to go to (’cause I’m such a cool girl) and then I am off on Friday, when I get to go on the train for five hours to Leipzig to see the hubs! Bliss bliss bliss!

And that five hour thing isn’t as horrible as it appears. I can use it to write and write to my heart’s content, so I am a happy camper!
Only sad thing is poor hubs is sick. in the words of the LOLCAT: Get betar sun, hunee!

AZ – Where is your blog?

    Blogger says it’s gone???
